FINLEY: Dada and I are raising caterpillars! Dada got some milkweed and within hours had eggs. The eggs hatched and we are the proud owners of about 12 caterpillars. There’s one that’s bigger. I named him Blippy. Do you know that the caterpillars are going to become butterflies?
Get some purple passion vine! It’s beautiful and is a host plant for caterpillars as well as food plant for butterflies, Gulf fritillary. It grows like crazy.
Do you know that when your dad was in school he did a science project about butterflies. He built a very large cage to watch the butterflies in. I was very proud of him as he is of you.
